New Page indexing issues detected

Modified on Mon, Nov 28, 2022 at 12:51 PM

If you receive this automated e-mail from Google, it is generally not cause for major concern.

Why?

The "Page indexing issues detected" e-mail from Google is sent out when they have crawled your website and found that a page they previously indexed is returning a 404 (page not found) error.

What steps to take

First, Verify that this is not an emergency and that your website is not down. Visit https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

If your entire website is down, call (424)999-5825 and leave a voicemail, and also add a support ticket into the system with the title EMERGENCY: Site down

If your website is not down, click the blue button and find out which page is returning the error by logging into Search Console. If the URL is one that is important to you, file a support ticket with the title "page indexing issue for [page name]"
